Applying the sealing sheets
Required DURABASE WS products
Self-adhesive wall sealing set for dry sealing walls and floors.
1 Sealing membrane 1 m x 30 m; 2 Spray primer; 3 Corner adhesive tape 120 mm x 50 m; 4 Plinth sealing tape 50 m; 5 Installation aid: squeegee; 6 2x wall sleeves 1/2″; 7 Drip protection sleeve; 8 Installation instructions.
Sealing membrane
Applying the sealing membranes to the wall and the shower tray and bathtub area
1. protective film on the back of the sealing membrane. Sequence (1.-4.) in which the protective films are removed from the back of the sealing membrane.
2. 1. Wet wipe the yellow overlap zone. 2. wipe dry. 3. apply tub sealing tapes, corner adhesive tapes, sealing corners and sleeves with an overlap.
3. attention! Cut all sealing sheets to length with an allowance of h + approx. 20 cm! Before attaching the sealing sheets, determine the passage points for fittings etc. if necessary and transfer the dimensions to the sealing sheets, see Figures D1 – D7.
4 . peel off the protective film 5 cm wide approx. 20-30 cm downwards. Position and align the sealing membrane in this area. Gradually remove the remaining protective film further down and stick the sealing membrane to the floor up to the corner adhesive tape. For details see pictures C 8 ff.
5. peel off the protective film 26 cm wide step by step towards the bottom. Press the upper part of the sealing membrane onto the wall in the area of the removed cover foil. Remove the remaining protective film further down and stick the sealing membrane to the floor up to the corner adhesive tape.
6. gradually peel off the protective film 35 cm downwards and continue as before.
7. gradually peel off the protective film 35 cm downwards and continue as before.
8 . remove all protective films up to just above the corner adhesive tape and press on the sealing membrane. Do not yet remove the protective film at the bottom of the wall/floor transition!
9. brush the sealing membrane thoroughly into the throat of a cardboard angle by hand.
10. mark the sealing strip along the cardboard angle in the wall/floor area (tray) with a pencil.
11 Then use scissors to cut the sealing strip cleanly along the marking. Caution: Do not damage the corner adhesive tape!
12 Remove the remaining masking film from the sealing membrane. Press the sealing membrane firmly onto the wall and floor area and the corner adhesive tape.
13. a white finishing strip (60 mm) is glued onto the fleece-free edge strip.
14. finished sealing sheets in the shower tray and bathtub area.
15. finished sealing sheets in the floor area.
